As the number of electric vehicles available in the US increases in the coming years, consumers will have a wider range of options in terms of body styles and price points. With so many options available, choosing the right vehicle to fit one’s needs may become a challenging task. But no worries, you’ll likely find the perfect one if you continue reading this list.

The Equinox will come in several variations, including two-wheel and all-wheel drive options with different battery sizes, providing a range of 250 to 300 miles. The Equinox can go from 0 to 60 miles an hour in 6.8 seconds. It will, of course, be compatible with DC fast charging. The Equinox will have a starting price of around $30,000, making it more affordable and attractive than the current gas-powered Equinox.

Like the Equinox, the Blazer will offer a driving range of 250 to 300 miles depending on the trim and will be compatible with DC fast charging. Buyers will also love the 11 to 17-inch displays in the Blazer’s expensive-looking interior. The ID.Buzz is basically the all-electric version of the Microbus. The North American version will have a longer wheelbase and three-row seating for up to six or seven passengers. Information about the electric drivetrain for units in North America is limited, but it is expected to have rear-wheel or all-wheel drive options with around 200-300 horsepower. The driving range has yet to be confirmed, but the American version should give you about 260 miles of range on a single charge. The 2024 Volkswagen ID.Buzz could start at $40,000. Despite lacking that luxury feel, this minivan should be a popular choice.

Lexus RZ 450e

Number seven on this list is the 2023 Lexus RZ 450e, the first fully-electric vehicle produced by the company, which starts at $55,000. The RZ 450e availability is limited and is considered the Lexus equivalent of the Toyota BZ4X. With Direct4 all-wheel drive and a 312-horsepower drivetrain, this Lexus electric SUV could give you a driving range of around 220 miles. With a reputation for reliability and build quality, Lexus is well-versed in producing hybrid and plug-in hybrid vehicles. However, if you fancy a more traditional electric car, consider looking at the Hyundai Ioniq 6, number four on this list. Futuristic and stylish, the Ioniq 6 boasts quick acceleration and offers a more luxurious interior than the Tesla Model 3. Its 77.4-kWh battery pack provides 340 miles of range. The Ioniq can go from 0 to 60 miles an hour in 5.1 seconds and will sell for around $44,000. Mercedes-Benz EQE

2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE.

At number three is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE. It’s a luxury electric vehicle that aims to compete directly with Tesla. In recent years, Mercedes has been introducing new electric car models, including the larger and more expensive EQS sedan and EQS SUV. While these cars rival the Tesla Model S and Model X, they are costly. Consumers can look at the EQE sedan and EQE SUV for a more viable option. The EQE, which will be more affordable at $75,950, will come in two versions: the EQE 350 and the EQE 500. Both versions will be available with either rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, producing between 288 to 402 horsepower and offering a driving range of up to 300 miles. They will also provide technological features like the 56-inch Hyperscreen, which debuted on the more costly EQS. Because so many car companies are stepping up their game, Tesla will find it challenging to dominate the market it once ruled.

Given the number of options available, choosing the right electric car can be a tedious task for anyone who isn’t rich. It’s important to consider factors such as range, charging time, and price before making a decision. Electric cars are far from perfect but the momentum that they have is undeniable and will continue to shape the automotive industry in 2023 and beyond.
