SUVs today are equipped with better technology which only adds to the quality of the overall driving experience. Also, some models have distinct features that anyone would find interesting. If you’re looking to buy a new ride, continue reading about the top ten finest electrified SUVs you can buy in 2023.

We have the 2023 BMW X8 at number ten. The flagship plug-in hybrid SUV will be an upgrade from the previous models. Not only will the unique angular design garner attention, but also the V8 engine integrated with a PHEV that can deliver a total of 737 pound-feet of torque and 750 horsepower. The BMW X8 has a starting price of $166,000 and will compete with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid.

At number nine is the Alfa Romeo Tonale. The plug-in hybrid is part of the company’s initiative to diversify its crossover roster. A 1.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, 15.5-kilowatt-hour battery pack, 120-horsepower electric motor, and a six-speed automatic transmission give power to this SUV, which also offers 272 horsepower and an electric range of 30 miles. If you’re looking for a model without all the electric stuff, you can get a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 256 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The starting price of the Alfa Romeo Tonale will be $30,000.

The number eight spot goes to the 2023 Honda CR-V. This new SUV will have no problem competing with other models in its category. The interior has modern technology and an infotainment system that has a 9.0-inch touchscreen where you can access wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You get a two-motor hybrid electric powertrain and a standard engine of a 190-horsepower turbo-four. About seven people can fit in this car. The 2023 Honda CR-V offers four trims. While more expensive, the Sport Touring Hybrid’s all-wheel drive and a plethora of luxurious elements more than compensate for the additional cost. A hybrid drivetrain is what you get if you buy the Sport Hybrid and Sport Touring Hybrid models, while the EX and EX-L are gas-powered. The 2023 Honda CR-V has a starting price of $32,355.

At number seven, you gave the 2023 Honda HR-V. This new model will replace the existing one’s 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine with a bigger 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that provides 158 horsepower and 138 pound-feet of torque. All the trims offer ample storage and enlarged cargo space of 24.4 cubic feet. For only $24,895, you can get this efficient electric SUV.

At the sixth spot, we have the 2023 Polestar 3. The standard model can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 4.9 seconds because of the powertrain setup that gives it 489 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the Performance trim can give you a horsepower of 517 and 671 pound-feet of torque. Both models include an electronic torque-vectoring dual-clutch at the rear motor, air suspension with adaptive dampers, four-piston Brembo front brakes, multiple drive modes, and one-pedal drive capability. The standard version can deliver 300 miles of range, while the Performance Pack offers a range of 30 miles less. The Polestar 3 can haul up to 3,500 pounds. On top of the five exterior cameras, all trims will also enjoy five radar arrays and 12 ultrasonic sensors, guaranteeing everyone’s safety. The charging capabilities are impressive as well. The Polestar 3’s 111-kilowatt-hour battery pack can go from 10% to 80% charge in 30 minutes using a 250-kilowatt charger. You can get your Polestar 3 in the last quarter of 2023 for a starting price of $85,300.

You have another plug-in hybrid at number five, the 2023 Dodge Hornet. For the 2023 model, Dodge offers the Hornet as either the GT or the R/T PHEV, with the possibility of additional trims. The $30,000-entry level GT is run by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that generates 285 horsepower, 383 pound-feet of torque, and comes with a nine-speed automatic transmission. It takes the Hornet 6.5 seconds to go from 0 to 60 miles per hour. Each model features a 12.3-inch digital gauge display and a 10.3-inch infotainment touchscreen which uses the latest Uconnect 5 system.

The fourth spot on this list goes to the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV. Looking at it, this electric SUV is different from other crossovers. Its driving range of 300 miles per charge can be attributed to its aerodynamic design. The EQE350 trim, which starts at around $80,000, is equipped with a 288-horsepower electric powertrain, while the EQE500 trim gives you a horsepower of 526 but is $15,000 more expensive. According to the company, the rear-wheel drive can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 6.3 seconds, and the all-wheel-drive can do it in 6.2 seconds. Mercedes-Benz claims that the battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in about 32 minutes using a DC fast charging station. The infotainment system features a 12.8-inch touchscreen that runs Mercedes-Benz’s MBUX software interface and can process voice commands. Each model comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, and a Burmester sound system. Mercedes’s augmented-reality navigation system can project directions, and a secondary 12.3-inch display serves as the digital instrument panel.

At number three is the 2023 Cadillac Lyric. This model is the company’s first-ever electric car. The single-motor rear-wheel-drive version offers 312 miles of range per charge and a horsepower of 340. If you’re looking for something with more force, opt for the all-wheel driver, which has around 500 horsepower. Many are going to love the touch screens across the dashboard. You also get a 19-inch AKG audio system, an augmented reality heads-up display, and an automated driver assistance system. The cost for the 2023 Cadillac Lyric starts at $62,990.

At number two, we have the 2023 Lexus RZ450e. The base model shares the same 71.4-kilowatt-hour battery pack with the Subaru Soltera and Toyota bZ4X. Its two electric motors allow it to generate 308 horsepower. The Lexus RZ450e can give you 279 miles of range on a single charge. The smaller steering wheel and the absence of driveline components make it more spacious inside. The 2023 Lexus RZ450e will be priced at $52,000. An upcoming sporty variant would also cost $5000 more.

The Lucid Gravity takes the number one spot on this list. The model received mixed reviews when the company came out with the Lucid Air despite its impressive range and performance. The Gravity has been reported to have similar qualities to the Air so expect a horsepower of up to 1200, and a 112-kilowatt-hour battery pack. It can seat seven people and offers a lot of space for everyone by taking out driveline components. Prices for the Lucid Gravity haven’t been disclosed, but reports say the base model would cost $90,000. The three other variants can go from $110,000 to $250,000.
